Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
These Terms govern your participation in the Swiss Music Competition (the “Competition”), organised by Art Holding Swiss (the “Organiser”). By submitting an entry and paying the entry fee, you accept these Terms together with the official competition regulations. Please read them carefully before you pay.
1. Entry & eligibility
- The Competition is open to musicians as described in the categories and official regulations.
- You must provide accurate information. Entries with false or misleading information may be disqualified.
- Entrants under the age of majority must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on their behalf.
- You enter by selecting a category, paying the entry fee, and sending your performance recording or video link to artholdingswiss@gmail.com.
2. Entry fees
Entry fees are shown before payment and depend on the category, exactly as set out in the official regulations. Fees are paid securely online through Stripe. You are responsible for any bank or currency charges applied by your own payment provider. A separate fee applies to each category or piece you enter.
3. Refund policy
Because your place is reserved and administrative and jury costs are incurred as soon as you enter, entry fees are non-refundable once an entry has been submitted, except in the following case:
- If the Organiser cancels a category or the Competition and does not offer a reasonable alternative, the entry fee for the affected category will be refunded in full.
Refunds are made to the original payment method. Failure to submit a recording, withdrawal, or disqualification for breach of these Terms does not entitle you to a refund.
3a. Place reservation (deposit)
You may secure your place with a reservation deposit of 25 CHF instead of paying the full fee up front. The deposit is deducted from your entry fee — you then pay the remaining balance and submit your performance at any time before the application deadline.
- The deposit reserves a limited place in your category and is non-refundable, save for the category-cancellation case in section 3 above.
- If the remaining balance is not paid and the performance not submitted before the deadline, the reservation lapses and the place is released.
- The deposit only completes your entry once the full fee is paid and your performance is received.
4. Judging
- Entries are evaluated by the Organiser’s international jury. Performances are judged on artistic merit; entrant names are hidden from the jury during scoring.
- The jury’s decisions are final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding scores or results.
- The Organiser may adjust the composition of the jury where necessary.
5. Prizes & outcomes
Prizes, scholarships, concerts, masterclasses and career-development opportunities are awarded at the discretion of the jury and the Organiser and only to entrants who meet the required standard. Participation does not guarantee any prize, award, concert or engagement. Cash prizes are paid by bank transfer to the winner named in the entry. Prizes are personal and cannot be exchanged for their cash value except as expressly stated.
6. Your content & permissions
- You confirm that the performance you submit is your own and that you hold all necessary rights in the recording and the music performed.
- You grant the Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use your submitted recording, name, image and results for the operation, promotion and archiving of the Competition, including on the website and social media.
- You are responsible for any third-party rights (for example, of co-performers or rights-holders) in your submission.
7. Disqualification
The Organiser may, without refund, disqualify any entry that breaches these Terms or the regulations, involves fraud, plagiarism, manipulated recordings, false information, or conduct that damages the reputation or fair running of the Competition.
8. Changes & force majeure
The Organiser may modify the schedule, categories, deadlines, jury or format where reasonably necessary, and is not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control (including illness, technical failures, or acts of authorities).
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organiser is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and its total liability arising out of your participation is limited to the amount of the entry fee you paid. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any dispute is [CITY, Switzerland], to the extent permitted by law.
